🌿 Sword Plants Collection – Bold, Rooted Plants for Balanced Aquariums
⚔️ Sword plants (Echinodorus) are hardy, fast-establishing background plants that anchor your scape and drink deep from the substrate. They love a natural soil base with a sand cap—perfect for Father Fish–style tanks with no CO₂ or bottled ferts.
Why choose sword plants
- ✅ Big leaves and fast establishment for instant “grown-in” look
- ✅ Hardy, beginner friendly, great for community tanks
- ✅ Heavy root feeders—thrive in deep, natural soils
Best setup (Father Fish method)
- Lay ~1 inch natural soil across the bottom.
- Cap with 2–3 inches of pool filter sand.
- Plant swords deep so crown sits just at sand surface.
- Plant heavy on day one and let biology do the work.
Father Fish tip
Swords are hungry root plants—give them a deep bed and they’ll do the rest. Avoid stirring the sand cap after planting.
