Raise strong, healthy fry the natural way with our Live Microworm Culture 🐟✨

Each order includes a 1 teaspoon starter culture in a sealed cup — packed and ready to reproduce quickly in your own setup. Microworms are one of the best first foods for baby fish, providing a steady supply of live, moving nutrition that stimulates feeding and supports rapid early growth.

Unlike powdered foods that cloud water, microworms stay alive and active, making them perfect for:

  • Fry (guppies, bettas, tetras, cichlids, etc.)

  • Nano fish

  • Shrimp

  • Small invertebrates

They’re easy to culture at home and begin producing within days.

🪱 How to Grow Your Microworm Culture

Microworms are easy to maintain and begin producing quickly. Follow these simple steps:

🥣 Step 1: Prepare the Medium

  • Mix plain instant oatmeal with warm water until it becomes a thick paste (not watery).

  • Spread ½–1 inch of the mixture into a small plastic container.

  • Let it cool completely before adding worms.

🪱 Step 2: Add the Starter Culture

  • Place your microworm culture on top of the cooled oatmeal.

  • Spread gently across the surface.

  • Optional: Sprinkle a tiny pinch of baker’s yeast on top to jump-start production.

📦 Step 3: Cover & Store

  • Cover loosely with a lid (poke a few small air holes).

  • Keep at room temperature (68–75°F).

  • Avoid direct sunlight.

⏳ Step 4: Harvest

  • Within 2–4 days, microworms will begin climbing the sides of the container.

  • Wipe them off with your finger, cotton swab, or small brush.

  • Rinse lightly in aquarium water and feed to your fish.

🔁 Maintenance Tips

  • Start a new culture every 2–3 weeks to avoid crashes.

  • If the culture smells very foul or turns moldy, discard and restart.

  • Keep multiple cultures going for continuous supply.

🧠 Father Fish Tip

“Live food builds strong fish. Keep two cultures going at once — one active and one backup — and you’ll never run out of fry food.”
