๐ŸŒฟ Jungle Val โ€“ Tall, Flowing Background Plant for Natural Aquariums

Jungle Val (Valisneria americana) is a classic, no-fuss background plant perfect for natural, low-tech aquariums. With long, ribbon-like leaves that can reach the surface and sway gently in the current, Jungle Val creates a lush, wild riverbed look while naturally filtering your water.

It's ideal for deep substrate tanks and grows rapidly without any fertilizers, COโ‚‚, or chemicals โ€” just soil, light, and patience.

๐Ÿ’š Why Choose Jungle Val?

โœ… Tall & Flowing Growth โ€“ Reaches 2+ feet in height
โœ… Perfect for Background Planting โ€“ Creates a dense, jungle-like wall
โœ… Fast Spreader โ€“ Propagates by runners for natural carpeting
โœ… Great for Oxygenation & Filtration โ€“ Naturally reduces excess nutrients
โœ… No COโ‚‚ or Ferts Needed โ€“ Grown 100% the Father Fish way
โœ… Safe for Fry & Shrimp โ€“ Offers shelter, biofilm, and shade

๐Ÿชด Plant Care Tips:

Lighting: Low to moderate
COโ‚‚: Not required
Substrate: Deep soil base with a sand cap
Placement: Background
Growth Rate: Fast
Tank Size: 20 gallons and up

Give it room โ€” Jungle Val spreads quickly once rooted in rich soil.

Had quite the wait for my plants to arrive. 3 weeks. They printed the label 5 days before USPS got the plants. And 4 days after I ordered. With a couple of exceptions they were pretty raggedy as well. Got them planted. The corkscrew vals seem to be doing the best. The rest I am watching. Love watching Father Fish. I've been keeping fish for 35 years. I agree with 90% of his methods. That's why I gave it a try and ordered a few plants to test the waters. Unless these plants make a serious comeback I don't think I'll order anything else. The whole experience after I paid is not what I expected.

First plants didnโ€™t come in very well, but they replaced them super quick, and the replacement plants look great!
