🌿 Water Sprite 'Laceleaf' – Delicate Green Growth for Natural Aquariums

Water Sprite Laceleaf (Ceratopteris thalictroides) is a delicate, fast-growing fern with finely divided, lace-like leaves. It can be planted in substrate or left floating, offering versatility and visual softness to any natural aquarium setup. A great choice for aquarists following the Father Fish method, this plant helps absorb excess nutrients and creates safe spaces for shrimp and fry β€” all without COβ‚‚ or liquid fertilizers.

Whether you’re looking to reduce algae, add vertical texture, or provide natural shade, Water Sprite Laceleaf delivers beauty and balance.

βœ… Fast Growth = Natural Filtration – Helps balance nutrients and reduce algae
βœ… No COβ‚‚ or Ferts Needed – Thrives in natural, low-tech systems
βœ… Shrimp & Fry Friendly – Dense cover for safety and biofilm support

Lighting: Moderate for fastest growth
COβ‚‚: Not required
Substrate: Optional β€” grows as floater or rooted
Placement: Midground to background or floating

Nice size and healthy plant, bit there was lots and lots of duckweed mixes in. It took lots of washing and picking to clear it out. It's prefer not to get duckweed started in my tanks. Overall, decent plants, but I will likely order from a different vendor next time.

Plants were skimpy, unlabeled. I felt ripped off. Paid $160. And the box smelled bad, plants some seemed dead. Totally NOT happy with what I received. No way to tell if what I received was what I ordered.
I complained about it, but customer service was none
